This Privacy Policy explains how Eat, Drink, Swallow Safe Pty Ltd, ABN 36 682 205 876 (“we”, “us”, “our”, “EDSS”) collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and, where applicable, the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What personal information we collect
We may collect the following personal information:
• Identity and contact details: your name, email address, organisation, country and, where you provide it, other contact information;
• Professional information: your discipline, experience level, area of practice and related details you provide when registering interest in supervision, education or consulting;
• Enquiry content: information you include in enquiry or interest forms, including any details you choose to share about a case, matter or professional situation;
• Transaction information: where you purchase a product or service, information necessary to process that transaction (payment is handled by our third-party payment provider; we do not store full card details);
• Technical information: where analytics are enabled, limited information about your device and use of the site.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you complete a form on our website, subscribe to our mailing list, purchase a product or service, or correspond with us. Where analytics or cookies are used, some technical information is collected automatically.
3. Why we collect and use it
We collect and use personal information to:
• respond to your enquiries and provide the education, consulting, mentoring and supervision services you request;
• form and administer supervision groups and process registrations and payments;
• send you administrative communications about services you have engaged;
• where you have opted in, send you updates about workshops, events, resources and any digital products;
• meet our legal, professional and record-keeping obligations.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We may disclose your personal information to:
• Queensland Lactation & Feeding Specialists (QLFS): where your enquiry relates to paediatric feeding, swallowing or supervision, which QLFS delivers in partnership with us. QLFS is a separate legal entity and handles your information in accordance with its own privacy obligations;
• service providers who help us operate our business, such as our email/CRM platform, payment provider, learning platform and IT providers, who are required to protect your information;
• professional advisers, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Business changes and transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, restructure, or a sale or transfer of some or all of our business or assets, personal information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction. Where this occurs, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the information remains protected, and any recipient will be required to handle it consistently with this policy or to seek your consent where the law requires.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Australia (for example, in the United States or European Union). Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs. If you are located in the UK or EU, we process your information in accordance with the GDPR, including relying on an appropriate lawful basis and, where required, appropriate transfer mechanisms.

We only send you marketing communications where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time by using that link or contacting us.
